Caiplie House is a great location for sourcing great local produce and enjoying it in our sociable open plan kitchen/ dining room.
You can plan some great feasts for your party with local produce available almost on your doorstep. The award winning butcher, Penmanís is just over the road, and there is a green-grocer and bakers also along the street. For sea food lovers, you can get crab or lobster fresh at the harbor in season. The St Andrews cheese company is a few miles away and Ardross farm shop between St Monans and Elie. And there is a Co-Op on the High street for all your other supplies.
If you prefer somebody else to do the heavy lifting Julien Poix of La Petite Epicerie can deliver provisions from his deli in Anstruther. And if you want to save arguments over who is cooking, he does home-made meals ready to pop in the oven.
Donít worry though, if there are no budding master chefs in your party as you are spoilt for choice for places to eat out. There are several options in the Village with the nearest pub just a few hundred meters along the High street. Or if that is too far, the Fish and chip shop is just along the road. If you are happy to jump in the car or a taxi, then Anstruther or St Andrews have an abundance of eateries ranging from the fantastic Seafood restaurant in St Andrews to the famous award winning chippy in Anstruther.
